HOW THE SANDALS ARE MADE
Our sandals are all handmade taking an hour or more to make one pair. The Barefoot
Sandals are designed by selecting blended beads. First, a pattern is designed that will
compliment the different styles of beads. Second, the beads are spaced evenly with seed
beads, ensuring there are adequate seed beads and spacers to help accentuate the bead
colors, using Czech glass beads and wooden beads, that have been formed into a variety of
shapes; pressed, faceted, bicones, rondelles, along with spacers that are pewter or
metalized plastic. Real gold or silver is not used as to make the Barefoot Sandals affordable
for all. The Barefoot Sandals come in small, medium, and large sizes. The sizes are
standardized so that the same amount of cord is used each time. The stringing material is
called "Stretch Magic" and it is a strong size .5mm. It is strong enough to handle repeated,
gentle stretching, yet small enough to fit through the hole of the beads. The sandals come
in a blue or beige organza drawstring bag with detailed instructions on how they can be
worn.
HOW TO WEAR THE SANDALS
Carefully place your foot through the large loop and then stretch very slowly over the
second toe of your foot (even though the sandal is made of a very strong cord you still want
to handle them very gentle, if you stretch them too far they will break.
These sandals can be worn with flip flops, and open-toe sandals. Some varieties can be
worn inside your tie-ups for easy and quick change for an evening at the pool, or maybe a
long walk on the beach.
